Koblenz, Gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Upper Middle Rhine Valley” also known as the “Romantic Rhine”, first came into being as a Roman Fortification situated at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle Rivers. Thanks to the cultural and architectural attractions of 2000 years of historical heritage, as well as the events which take place in the city, the town itself has become a main meeting point where people to enjoy that which makes up the “Romantic Central Rhine”.
