Ulm

UlmUlm/Neu-Ulm – twin cities on the river Danube. Ulm fascinates with enchanting old town quarters (e.g Fishermen’s Quarter) and the Gothic “Ulmer Münster” (with the world’s highest church spire), which contrasts with modern architecture of international repute such as the “Stadthaus Ulm.” In addition, Ulm is Albert Einstein’s birthplace and Germany’s first “City of Science.” Other unique sights are the Museum of Bread Culture and the huge Federal Fortifications Ulm (“Bundesfestung Ulm”). Neu-Ulm, on the other bank of the Danube, is a modern city suitable for conventions with an outstanding area of greenery, the Glacis-Park.
Population: Ulm: 120,000. Neu-Ulm: 51,000.
Guest beds: 3,300.
